Michelle Poché Flaherty's Bio:
With 28 years of public service experience, Michelle Poché Flaherty has held senior executive positions in federal, state and local government. She joined the City of Palo Alto as Deputy City Manager in August 2017, after working as the Director of Performance, Strategy & Innovation for the Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC.
Michelle served at the U.S. Department of Transportation as Deputy Chief of Staff and Special Assistant to Secretary Norman Y. Mineta. Her work there included coordinating the department’s response to the events of September 11th, for which she was awarded the Transportation 9-11 Medal.
